We are looking for a candidate in our Hyderabad-based computational sciences and tech team, which supports Schrödinger Inc., whose mission is to improve human health and quality of life through advanced computational methods that transform the way scientists design therapeutics and materials. The candidate will provide instant as well as complete support to the customers of Schrödinger Inc. around the globe, 24/5, spanning all modules and platforms. Along with education and applications science, the team actively supports internal research projects and modeling services.
WHAT YOU’LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:
- Provide pre- and post-sales scientific and software support for Schrödinger products
- Quickly respond to customer queries from the global scientific community
- Collaborate with the scientific support team and the account managers to resolve customer issues and provide general scientific guidance
- Engage in computer-aided, cutting-edge scientific research
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- A master’s degree in pharma, biotech, math, computer science, chemistry, or physics
- One to two years of prior and relevant experience on projects related to CADD
- Exposure to molecular modeling techniques, CADD, and classical and/or quantum mechanics is a must
- Experience publishing scientific papers
- Exposure to IT, especially python programming skills, will be a decided advantage
- The ability to work across different time zones (approximately one month for every six months; will need to work one or two month-long night shifts in a year)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a self-starter attitude, who the ability to think innovatively and troubleshoot issues
